Sarah Gebruers

Sarah obtained her MSc and PhD degrees in Astronomy and Astrophysics at KU Leuven in 2019 and 2023, respectively. During her academic career, she gained extensive experience in big data analysis using various statistical techniques.

Advanced remote sensing and data validation are key to understanding and preserving our planet's health.

In 2023, Sarah joined VITO Remote Sensing as a member of the validation team. Her responsibilities include image and data quality monitoring for various services, such as the Copernicus Global Land Service (CGLOPS) and the ESA Climate Change Initiative (CCI).
