AQUARIUS is preparing to launch its first Transnational Access Call
AQUARIUS is INTEGRATING RESEARCH INFRASTRUCTURES - CONNECTING SCIENTISTS - ENABLING TRANSNATIONAL ACCESS
for HEALTHY and SUSTAINABLE MARINE and FRESHWATER ECOSYSTEMS
As a partner of the AQUARIUS project VITO Remote Sensing offers access to satellite, airborne and drone images for aquatic applications within the AQUARIUS Transnational Access Calls.
AQUARIUS will bring together a portfolio of 57 diverse research infrastructures ranging from satellites to research vessels, and from drones to laboratory facilities (+ 10 Data Centers and Virtual Labs) from the participating Research Infrastructures (RI) EMBRC, emso ERIC, SeaDataNet, DANUBIUS-RI, JERICO RI, EUROFLEETS+ and EUFAR.

Transnational Access Calls
AQUARIUS will launch two Transnational Access Calls to support research and innovation projects that demonstrate integration of different research infrastructures and contribute to the objectives of the EU Mission 'Restore our Ocean and Waters'.

Open from 11 November 2024 - 20 January 2025
TA Call 2
Open from 2 September 2025 - 28 October 2025
VITO Remote Sensing's services
In particular, VITO Remote Sensing is offering TA to
- satellite-based aquatic products, via Terrascope
- drone-based aquatic products, via MAPEO Water, and
- airborne water-leaving reflectance products, obtained from the CWIS-II (now called AVIRIS-4) imaging spectrometer, operated by the Remote Sensing Laboratories from the University of Zurich as part of the ARES Observatory.
In the AQUARIUS Catalogue you can search for Terrascope, MAPEO and CWIS-II (AVIRIS-4) to discover more about these state-of-the-art AQUARIUS remote sensing research infrastructures.
