In het kader van het VLAIO OpsDrone project organiseert VITO, in nauwe samenwerking met ILVO een technische workshop 'Drone Sampling' en Hackathon. 

Deze nieuwe innovatieve 'Drone Sampling' methode is vele malen efficiënter dan traditionele drone mapping en kan, gekoppeld met AI algorithmes hele gedetailleerde informatie aanleveren over landbouwgewassen, ook met kleine drones.
