Bram is a dedicated technology enthusiast with a passion for leveraging technology to create real-world impact, particularly in the fields of earth observation and data-driven insights. He earned his Master's Degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Hasselt in Belgium, which provided a solid foundation for his career in the tech industry.
In 2017, Bram joined the VITO as an IT architect and technical lead. At VITO, he led a talented team focused on developing geo-based graphical user interfaces with a strong emphasis on integrating remote sensing and earth observation services. This role allowed him to showcase his expertise in designing user-friendly and impactful technological solutions that bridge the gap between complex data and practical applications.

Over the years, Bram's role at VITO evolved to include project management responsibilities. He made significant contributions to a variety of projects, both in a national and internal context. Some of these projects include PROBA-V MEP (ESA), Terrascope (BELSPO), AI4FOOD (ESA), OpenEO Platform (ESA), the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (European Commission / ESA), and Application Propagation Environments (ESA). Through these initiatives, Bram contributed to advancing remote sensing technologies and large-scale data processing capabilities and promoting the practical applications of these technologies across various domains, ranging from environmental monitoring to agricultural optimization.
Bram's dedication to technological innovation and his commitment to harnessing the power of data for societal benefit are the biggest motivators for his work. Through his involvement in several projects, he has been able to contribute to advancements in the field of Earth Observation, integrating cutting-edge technology with real-world applications.
